Willowemoc Wild Forest - Frick and Hodge Ponds (10/16/2022)
Beautiful and peaceful spot in the Catskills. Looks like we just missed the peak foliage but the pond scenery is lovely none the less. Saw some colorful trout in Hodge pond's crystal clear water. The doggo had a great time and parking was no problem.

Parking lot coordinates are correct

Thanks for the hike report!

We've rechecked the coordinates, and they are correct as listed (41.95102, -74.707197). These coordinates lead to the parking lot on Beech Mountain Road, and are the same as the map coordinates of 41°57'03.7"N 74°42'25.9"W, just in a different format.

~Jeremy, Trail Conference cartographer

Frick Pond
The coordinates in the main listing, 41.95102, -74.707197, are wrong. The ones on the map are substantially right but what I logged at the trailhead parking lot was 41.57081, -7442407. Clearly there has been a great deal of growth since the OP, and the only glimpse you will see of the pond while there are leaves on the trees is the shoreline and outlet as described at about 0.55 miles from the trailhead. I took only one hour to hike round, with stops for photos. There is a lot of standing water and mud - you'll need boots or go home with very wet and dirty sneakers.
