Watershed moments found locally

Body

Just a few minutes' drive from every location in the Suburban Trends delivery area is a vast natural playground where visitors can hike, hunt, ride horses, fish and operate non-powered boats in and around four giant reservoirs, all of which flow into the Pequannock River. The Newark Watershed Conservation and Development Corporation (NWCDC) monitors the 35,000 acres encompassing the Pequannock Watershed, which provides drinking water to the City of Newark as well as several other nearby municipalities. Although owned outright by Newark, this expansive property lies within the boundaries of six North Jersey towns, including Vernon, Jefferson, Rockaway, Hardyston, Kinnelon, and West Milford.

... All of the trails within the watershed are maintained by the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference.
